The current advertising campaign of ÖSTERREICH WERBUNG was produced by WEST4MEDIA. The new television and cinema commercials present the magnificent Alps in all of their glory as a destination for holidaymakers.
Time to celebrate at WEST4MEDIA! We have recently been informed that our productions “Eurovison Song Contest Opener 2015” (ORF/Österreich Werbung), “HoHo Wien” (Kerbler Gruppe), and “Mature Fields” (OMV) will be among the winners at the 2016 Cannes Corporate Media & TV Awards.
AIRPOWER is one of Europe’s biggest air shows. A whopping 300,000 fans flooded through the gates in Zeltweg to enjoy two days packed with spectacular displays performed by more than 240 aircraft. WEST4MEDIA was commissioned by the Austrian Federal Armed Forces, Red Bull and the Federal State of Styria to take care of the entire television production of AIRPOWER16.
Austria brought home an impressive haul of nine medals from the World Ski Championships in St. Moritz. And WEST4MEDIA played its part in ensuring that viewers at home were kept up to date. Together with our partner BDA Creative, we created the graphics used for all television broadcasts of the huge winter sport event around the world.
Sometimes it’s difficult to believe what you can get done in just a year. As is now tradition at WEST4MEDIA, we’ve put together a new showreel this summer to present some of the many highlights we’ve enjoyed over the last 12 months.
After 30 years of service, the old column responsible for producing sulphur-free fuel at Raffinerie Schwechat was retired. Its successor, a behemoth built in Deggendorf, Germany, simply needed delivering. But with the new column weighing in at 382 tonnes, measuring 24 metres long and having a diameter of 5 metres, it was always going to be a big and painstakingly slow job.
WEST4MEDIA has begun collaborating with branding agency BDA Creative to provide motion graphics, 3D animations, on-air branding and sport graphics in Austria.
How can you know for sure that the summer is over? The ice hockey season has already begun! ServusTV and the Erste Bank Eishockey Liga asked us to produce a cool trailer for the start of the new season and we were more than happy to oblige.

According to ORF, the Eurovision Song Contest was the biggest one-off production in the history of the broadcaster. All the more reason then for WEST4MEDIA to be proud of the opening sequence it produced for this year’s event.

To promote the upcoming Austrian Grand Prix on 21st June, Vienna’s impressive Rathausplatz was transformed into a mini racetrack for an afternoon of high-octane action. WEST4MEDIA was commissioned by RED BULL MEDIA HOUSE to cover the event with three camera teams.

In 2013, the organising committee of the World Ski Championships in Vail invited the world’s leading TV graphics companies to pitch their ideas for the opening sequence and race graphics of the event. The committee chose WEST4MEDIA. Between 2nd and 15th February 2015, our graphics will be seen by viewers around the world.

Elisabeth is the most successful musical of the production company Vereinigten Bühnen Wien. Since its premiere in 1992, the hit musical has been performed more than 7,000 times around the world to audiences totalling almost 10 million. Nevertheless, the show continues to go from strength to strength thanks to an appeal the reaches far beyond the city limits of Vienna. WEST4MEDIA has produced a 7-minute film of highlights from the musical.

Shooting the video for the song was a 'family affair' for WEST4MEDIA, for the band's bassist, Philip 'Pipo' Oszwald, has been an editor and designer at the production company for many years.

As of 9th January we will be making our mark on ORF: our new report series "Schladming - the World Championships Town" will be aired every Wednesday from 10 p.m. The Alpine Ski World Championships will commence in Schladming at the beginning of February. The 5-part series of reports focuses on the locals, athletes, restaurateurs and organisers, whose stories will be woven together and told chronologically.

Servus TV Hockey Night commissioned WEST4MEDIA to take a closer look at why injuries are par for the course in one of the toughest sports around. By performing simple experiments in a controlled environment, we simulated the most commonly sustained injuries in ice hockey.
GT City Challenge is a motorsport event like no other, featuring a track at the heart of the city centre and a collection of fascinating racing cars. The last GT City Challenge was held in Baku, Azerbaijan. WEST4MEDIA covered the event with a 14-strong team.

The sport documentary series “Die Sportdokumentation” produced by WEST4MEDIA for ServusTV was the broadcaster’s most successful format in June and July, achieving the highest viewership on the respective broadcast days in the process.
The Summer Olympic Games is the greatest sporting show on earth. In 2012, London will host the spectacle and welcome 10,500 athletes from 200 countries. As usual, the ORF will provide live and comprehensive coverage of the action. To give their viewers a taste of what’s to come ahead of the opening ceremony, the Austrian broadcaster is promoting the Games with a tailor-made campaign.

On 4th October 1997 one of today’s most successful musicals had its international premier. Since then more than six million theatre-goers around the world have seen Dance of the Vampires. WEST4MEDIA has produced a trailer featuring the most beautiful moments of the global hit.
The European Ski Federation (E.S.F.) recently commissioned WEST4MEDIA to produce two video clips for the new sport and tourism concept "SNOW". Following a few days of filming in Liechtenstein, the finishing touches were added to two clips which meet two different criteria. The first is an informative clip which introduces and explains the "SNOW" concept to the viewer, while the second works on a more stylistic level to whet the appetite and promote interest.
We are proud to announce a new client. The leading refractories company RHI commissioned WEST4MEDIA to produce a corporate video. For the initiative "FEMTech" a movie has since been produced, which introduces RHI as an employer of women.
The grand finale of the Red Bull Air Race World Championship at the German Lausitzring left a lasting impression on the crowd, the pilots and the organisers.
In 2010 WEST4MEDIA will once again produce the most spectacular motorsport event of our time: the Red Bull Air Race. However, before the season commences all of the race pilots have to prove their talent and skills live on stage. This year the Salzburg Arena was transformed into a huge film studio to shoot the ‘hero' and greenbox shots. Interviews with the pilots were also part of the project.
For the second consecutive year WEST4MEDIA is celebrating an Emmy. "It's wonderful if you can win such a prize just once in your life. Twice is sensational," said Managing Director Alexander Strohmer somewhat sleepily given the time difference. The Red Bull Air Race, which has been produced by WEST4MEDIA since 2005, picked up the coveted trophy for the second time in succession at the 31st Annual Sports Emmy Awards Show.
The Kiddy Contest is turning fifteen. And the passion of the kids is still unparalleled. Yet on the TV production side, everything is new. For the first time WEST4MEDIA will produce the successful children and music show for the broadcasters ORF and NICK. A DVD will be out just before Christmas.
